Springling concentrates services to the youngest patients, and we prefer to be the “first stop”. We serve patients as young as 12 months but can stay with existing patients until school age. Springling accepts new patients that are 3 or younger at the onset of services with Springling. Patients 4 years and older will be referred to a provider outside of Springling.
-
Early Start Denver Model’s research is focused on children ages 12-48 months. As certified providers of ESDM, we also follow this model. While the techniques may be beneficial to patients of all ages, our specialty, materials, and providers cater to this younger age. Naturalistic developmental behavior interventions are often focused on early childhood which is what we do best. Other forms of ABA, like discrete trial or verbal behavior are available from other providers outside of Springling and are very effective.
-
Parent involvement is essential in ESDM programming. Springling requires 1 hour/week of parent training throughout the time they are receiving services. Parent sessions occur at home or clinic and involve your behavior analyst coaching you on ESDM techniques directly with your child. Other caregiver participation is also encouraged.
